Read the table one way: these are two purchases doing two jobs, and neither substitutes for the other. METRC is not going to write your defoliation SOP. METRC can barely render a dropdown without a loading spinner. Asking your seed-to-sale system to also be your training and procedure layer is like asking your bank statement to teach someone how to run the till. Related numbers, completely different job.

Here is the buyer’s checklist. If a tool cannot do most of this, it is a note-taking app wearing a lab coat.

1. Build SOPs fast, without a writing project. Your master grower communicates the harvest cutoff in vibes and a specific squint at a trichome. You need to capture that before they quit in October. The fastest path is video: film the task once, let AI structure the steps, then edit.
